The 13th CYWater Annual Meeting was held jointly with the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Youth Working Committee of the Yangtze River Technology and Economy Society (CTES-YWC). The meeting took place on November 1–2, 2025 (registration October 31) at the Wuhan Chutian Yuehai International Hotel, 181 East Lake Road, Wuchang, with no registration fee.
This partnership was a milestone: CTES-YWC, established in December 2021, is a secondary branch of CTES with over 150 members, hosted at the School of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering of Wuhan University. Co-hosting the meeting broadened CYWater's dialogue into integrated Yangtze basin water, technology and economy questions.
Digital intelligence empowering water science innovation and water security.
Eight themed sessions
The 2025 edition expanded the programme to eight tracks — the largest scope in the meeting's history — reflecting the rapid integration of AI and digital-twin methods into water science:
- Water cycle evolution under changing environments
- Hydrometeorological forecasting & water disasters
- Ecohydrology & green watersheds
- River ecosystem evolution & regulation
- Multi-dimensional water balance & coordinated dispatch
- AI + water science
- Digital-twin basins & smart decision-making
- Safe, resilient water-network construction & control
