The 11th CYWater Summer Meeting was held on August 5–6, 2023 in Beijing, in a hybrid format (in person with online livestream via Tencent Meeting), with no registration fee. The venue was the Ziyu Yuli Hotel, 55 Zengguang Road, Haidian District, with registration on August 4.

Hosted by Capital Normal University (School of Resource Environment and Tourism) and IGSNRR (CAS), the meeting continued CYWater's annual rhythm: a domestic summer meeting each year since 2013, paired with an overseas gathering during the AGU Fall Meeting.

Organizing committee

The 2023 meeting was organized by a community committee of around 30 scholars from institutions across China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Japan, including members from Tsinghua University, Peking University, IGSNRR, Capital Normal University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Fudan University, Michigan State University, PNNL, Boston University, University of Glasgow, NUS, the University of Tokyo, and UC San Diego.
