Volunteer Recruitment for the Office

The International Association of Contemporary Young Scholars in Water Sciences (CYWater) invites registered users of its website to apply for volunteer roles in the Office. The Office supports the Association's ongoing work through volunteer service.

How to apply

Sign in to your CYWater website account, or register for an account, to apply. Paid membership is not required.

Select one or more service areas and provide an English CV, your available time per week, your areas of expertise, relevant skills, and any volunteer experience with other international organizations or learned societies. Choose a stable service period of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months.

Examples of relevant skills include layout/typesetting, social media writing, translation, data work, video editing and conference-system operations.

Office service and certificates

Applicants who successfully complete one calendar month of probation and pass review will join the Office, and their names will be listed on the CYWater website.

Office volunteers who complete their agreed service period satisfactorily and fulfil their responsibilities with care may request a service certificate. Following CYWater's verification, the certificate will recognise their role, service period and completed work.

Volunteering for specific activities

For short-term roles, recruitment notices will describe the support work and scheduled duties in advance of the relevant activity.

Volunteers who complete their assigned shifts and duties on time and provide responsible, satisfactory support may request an electronic certificate. Following CYWater's verification, the certificate will recognise the support work they have completed.
